Hi, I am about to start a company, that makes great software for Mac computers. A mission is supposed to describe what your plans are for the next 3 years. How you want to acomplish your goals. The book; Starting a Business for Dummies, asks: "Could a 14-year old understand it?"
Is this mission good? Tell me how to improve this document.
Mission for The Near Future
I am going to make an easy toolbox for graphics people, that will take me from 0 upto 1000 customers in its first 6 months. I am cash-poor, so I am going to make it my goal to define a feature set and a ship date in order to establish a foothold in the market before I run out of cash. (edit: 26 aug 2008. yeah right, two years later and nothing has happened yet)
If it goes really well, then my good friend Dennis Hansen will be involved with the project (so its not that lonely).
I think this plan is realistic (edit: 26 aug 2008, nope, it wasn't!). I work very well with my friend Dennis, because of our discussions which gives insight. We have developed the technology together in our spare time. Too bad his economical situation doesn't allow him to take this jump with me and help start the business.
A team with Dennis and a bunch of my good friends, can result in killer applications! I want to code great things with my friends.
